Four Hickory Benches from two logs in Frontenac

Chocolate Lab

This carving was in Creve Couer.    It was a small cedar tree that became a totem pole.    With a remaining two hours left I created a bench.
This is an Eagle in Spanish Lake that took one day.   It is standing on an old tree stump.

This was a one-day carving in Ballwin.
When we got to the site we realized that the tree was hollow.    The customer wanted a seated eagle, but that wouldn't be possible, so I carved an eagle on it's wingtip catching a salmon.

This is a 'hand chair' carved from Cherry logs that the customer had cut down.

This is a Wood Spirit lady to accompany a Wood Spirit that I carved in the same yard five years ago

This was a family Totem pole where each person chose a symbol.   ( Beer can, Santa, Music Notes, Butterfly, Cross)

This was a one-day Pelican in Warson Woods

This squirrel was carved in Des Peres in a day.

This Trojan mascot was carved in Carrollton, MO in one day.

These two benches, the table, 4 stump stools, and a Treehouse table were ALL carved from one Walnut log left in a customers yard from a tree trimmer.  (1 day)

    Beaver Porch
This customer , in Steelville runs a Canoe Rental on the Meremec River. http://www.greenscanoerental.com/
He put in a front porch with huge 12 x 12 posts and decided to have me come and carve them.  I carved 2 Beavers.    One with a Fishing pole and one with a paddle.    Then with a little time remaining I carved a bear with a table near the building. (1 day)

Fenton Backyard
These customers had three stumps left from removed trees in their backyard.    They wanted an Eagle, a rendition of their Black Lab "MOOSE" and a memorial to a relative who had passed.

Hollow Hickory Eagle
These two happy customers had me come out to carve on a log in their yard.
They wanted an Eagle perched with a star down below.    The stump was 12 feet tall so I cut the top 3 feet off and immediately realized that there was a hollow center to the log that was big enough to drop a softball down deep inside.     After a few minutes of visualizing, I came up with this design that has the eagles wings clasped in the front.
It took about 7 hours to complete.    The best part of this carving was the front where the wings touch.     Both wingtips come together and resemble flames.  (didn't get a pic)

Tornado and animals totem

FENTON INDIAN
A customer in the Fenton area had an unwanted tree taken out in their front yard and called me to carve this Indian.   8 hours

Wood spirit in the Eureka area

At this on site customers house near Marble Hill I recut the two angled posts which were at an awkward angle, then I cut the two horses from some scap wood, then I cut the Texas Star from some oak, and with the last hour I carved them a name log.

7am - 3 pm   Lighthouse in St. Peters -11 foot

This was an 8 hour carving at someone's house on March 22nd.
It was a Cedar trunk that I carved into a bear reaching out of the ground for a salmon while an eagle tries to fly off with it.    It was a challenge because the cedar log was hollow.
